Meet Our Dachshund Farm in Portland, Oregon

Welcome to our family home and countryside farm, situated just northwest of Portland in Oregon's lush Willamette Valley. Here, surrounded by evergreen firs and open clover pastures, we raise Miniature and Mini Long-Haired Dachshund puppies with boundless love, scientific care, and deep dedication to true miniature breed conformation (11 lbs & under).

We are not a commercial kennel or pet store broker. Every puppy is born in our home, cuddled daily by our family, and raised on natural grass where they develop healthy joints, brave hearts, and sweet, trusting temperaments.

A Lifelong Devotion

Why We Love the Dachshund Breed

Few breeds possess the personality, bravery, and comic charm of a Dachshund. Originally bred in Germany to burrow fearlessly into badger dens, they carry the dignified courage of a lion in a compact, huggable body.

Over decades of living alongside them, we fell especially in love with the long-haired variety. Their flowing feathering gives them an ethereal beauty, while their gentle spaniel ancestry gives them a softer, exceptionally tender disposition that makes them true velcro companions.

Developmental Excellence

Our Puppy Care & Socialization Protocol

We implement proven scientific development methods alongside gentle family handling to produce resilient, confident puppies.

01. Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)

From day 3 to 16, we conduct five brief neurological exercises designed to improve cardiovascular performance, strengthen heartbeat, and dramatically enhance stress tolerance in adult life.

02. Natural Outdoor Exploration

Once their 4-week milestones are reached, our puppies explore secure, grassy farm paddocks. Experiencing dirt, clover, gentle breezes, and sunshine fosters innate potty habits and physical balance.

03. In-Home Household Acclimation

Our puppies live where we live. They hear vacuums, clattering cookware, doorbells, music, and children's laughter. By the time they go home at 8–10 weeks, new sounds are calm, ordinary events.

Quiet lap time with our family in the living room before tucking into warm heated fleece beds for the night.

Responsible Puppy Placement & Visiting Us

We take our placement responsibilities seriously. We never sell puppies through commercial third-party brokers, online shopping carts, or pet shops. Every adoptive family communicates directly with us, and we provide lifetime guidance on diet, training, and spinal care.

We warmly welcome approved families to visit our Portland farm by appointment once puppies reach 8 weeks and have received their first protective vaccine round.
